Haywood Talcove Appointed to the DEA Educational Foundation Board of Directors

Washington, DC – He joins all of the former DEA Administrators, as well as other prominent private sector leaders who make up the Board of Directors.


Mr. Talcove is currently the CEO of Lexis Nexis Special Services where he oversees a team whose mission is to catch bad people, stop fraud, and enable digital government. LexisNexis Risk Solutions harnesses the power of data and advanced analytics to provide insights that help businesses and governmental entities reduce risk and improve decisions to benefit people around the globe.


DEA Educational Foundation Chairman William F. Alden had this to say about the appointment: “Woody brings an energy and passion to our cause that will greatly assist the Foundation in rising to new heights.” Former DEA Administrator Karen Tandy added: “Woody is a superstar! He breathes the law enforcement mission, is a powerhouse on a board, and unfailingly generous with his time and support in ways that always brings out the best in everyone. Kudos to the DEA Educational Foundation.”


Mr. Talcove also serves on the Board of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) as well as the Board of Visitors for the University of Maine.


About the DEA Educational Foundation

The foundation is a non-profit educational foundation founded in 2001 whose goal is to educate the public on the many costs and consequences of illegal drugs to our society. The foundation actively supports the DEA Museum and its traveling exhibitions and educational programs. The foundation operates several afterschool youth programs across the nation including the DEA EF Youth Dance Program, afterschool soccer, baseball, and martial arts.
